Push-button vaporizers are the most common type of vape batteries available on the market. The vape batteries can be either a typical vape pen style or a box mod vape style.

The largest contribution to the popularity of button operated vape pen batteries is mostly due to these types of vape batteries having wider-ranging capabilities than their auto draw counterparts. Many vapor batteries come prepackaged with a ton of features and have stronger capacity and power making them the preferred choice amongst vapers.

    Button Operated Vape Pens

Unlike their buttonless counterparts, most buttons operated vape pen batteries have a process in which you must activate them by either turning them on or unlocking them. They also have other safety features such as timeout. These safety measures prevent push-button vape pens from accidentally firing which could unnecessarily burn through your vape cartridge contents, quickly run your battery down, overheat your unit, or possibly cause other concerns. Vapor batteries with these and more safety features are considered regulated batteries. Unregulated push-button vape pen batteries will not have these safety features and can fire off at will for as long as you hold down the power button. These kinds of vape batteries should be considered dangerous and even the most seasoned expert vapers should carefully evaluate the pros and cons of an unregulated battery before purchase and use.

    Highlights of the Button Vaporizers

With the creation of button operated vapor batteries, the market for 510 thread battery expanded exponentially. They have greater compatibility, efficiency, and require less maintenance than buttonless vaporizers. The nuances of vaping can be tricky because there are so many different types of vape cartridges made of different compositions that could contain any one of the wide-ranging oils, concentrates, or other contents widely available in the marketplace. So, unless having a reasonable amount of knowledge as to what you are purchasing or are purchasing a buttonless vape that has already been paired with a certain type of cartridge; we suggest purchasing a button-operated vaporizer. This type of vapor battery will most likely allow them to effectively vape whatever material they are trying to vape. Because auto-draw vaporizers are for the most part built with only a single voltage power setting; there is a higher chance your vaping experience may not be as enjoyable as it should be. Push-button vaporizers also tend to require less charging and maintenance than auto-draw vape batteries that usually need to charge and maintained with greater frequency otherwise they become prone to malfunction.

The market for a button vape pen is at its widest when it comes to design and concealability as they represent the vast majority of concealable vapes. They excel in this area and it is arguably the greatest reason for their popularity. Another unrelated aspect is the feel of the product. The focus of this design aspect is to build vaporizers that fit and feel good in the hand of the vaper. Part of this includes aligning the raw materials used to construct the vaporizer with its overall weight so that there is a balance between intended use, comfortability, and transportability.

    Button Vape Pen Features

Some of the most common features found in these vaporizers are variable voltage, preheat, auto timeout, and temperature adjustment. Being able to adjust the voltage or temperature allows vapers to fine-tune to their ideal vaping experience. Increasing the voltage or temperature setting usually leads to more of the contents in their prefilled 510 thread cartridge being vaped and this in-turn gives the vaper the experience of harder, harsher hits and blowing bigger clouds. Decreasing the voltage or temperature setting usually reduces the harshness of the hit and in most cases the size of the clouds, but it creates a noticeably stronger flavor experience. When it comes to pushing button vape pen, how do vapers determine what voltage or temperature settings they should set their vaporizer to in order to have the best vaping experience? We reference the COO of Honeystick: “Although there are prefilled 510 thread cartridges in the market that have ranges or sometimes exact power settings needed for an optimal vaping experience there is no exact science to it. Vapers want to be somewhere in-between the two experiences so that they can taste the flavor of the contents within their cartridge while blowing the biggest clouds possible with minimal harshness to their mouth and throat. We here at Honeystick call that finding your sweet spot.”

The preheat feature in the push-button vape pen gives vapers the ability to warm the contents of their prefilled 510 thread cartridge in preparation to vape. This is particularly useful with thicker oils and concentrate or in colder weather climates. Auto timeout is a safety feature that push-button vaporizers have that automatically cuts off the power if the power button is pressed and held for too long but it does not turn the power off. The timing is dependent on the manufacturer, but the average length before a timeout occurs is anywhere from eight (8) to twelve (12) seconds.

The biggest difference between push button vaporizers and auto-draw vaporizers is what it takes to operate them. With push-button vaporizers, you are going to have virtually no resistance when attempting to vape. The reason for this is because you are using one-hundred percent (100%) of your energy to build up and draw out vapor. This dedicated energy focus builds up a bigger draw and larger clouds to the point where it feels as if the vapor is being propelled into your mouth. With auto-draw vape pen batteries, a greater portion of the energy you use to vape is dedicated to activating the airflow sensors and powering up the vaporizer. This is what gives auto-draw vaporizers the more realistic feeling, but you usually need to take longer, heavier hits in order to build up much bigger clouds which can be taxing for some vape users.
